We're not very good at "Lingering" anymore. We have brief meetings, short lunches, two-word text messages, and surface-level interactions. But it seems we have a tough time getting deeper and exploring what lies beneath the surface. Jesus doesn't want a superficial relationship, and this week we'll learn what He really wants and how we get there.

What's your comfort zone? We all have one - that place where everything is safe and happy. But our comfort zone isn't always a good thing. Sometimes, our comfort zone can hold us back from embracing what God has for us (especially when that might hurt a little). If we are going to continue cultivating a fertile heart, then we'll need to step outside of "the zone."

Good soil makes all the difference in the yield of your "crop." If the soil isn't good, it'll be hard to get anything to grow. It's true in gardening, and it's true in life. But more than that, it's true when we start talking about our walk with Jesus. This week, we'll start a new series that will teach us how to create good soil in our hearts.

What is it that you hear when you close your eyes? What is it that you hear when you want to hear something from God? Is it Him, or is it just the noise of the world? Is God coming through loud and clear, or are you having trouble hearing Him? He promises we WILL know His voice, so how do we collect on that promise?
