Why does it seem like lasting JOY is so elusive. We get small tastes of it, and then it's gone. We search. We plan. We look for joy in everything we do. We might say that we trust something or someone, but that usually means, "You prove it first, and I'll trust it." Who do we trust enough to step out and move BEFORE anything happens? As far aw we're concerned, there's only ONE that we can trust like that.

As followers, we know that God will allow us to go through things that test us. But has He ever asked something from you that made you ask, "Do What?" If we're completely honest, those are the times we like to act like we didn't hear what God was asking. What keeps us from responding to those type of tests from God? This week, we'll discover how God responds when we're willing to let go.

Sometimes we ask, "What's God like?" We'd all love to know more about God, wouldn't we? The good news is that God has been revealing Himself to us for thousands of years. This week, we're kicking off a new message series titled, "Old School," where we'll look at God through the lens of the Old Testament. If you know who you are, you'll know what to do. Part of knowing WHO we are is understanding WHERE we're from. You can tell alot about people if you know where they're from, but the question we have to ask is this, "Does the world know where WE are from?" Join us this week as we wrap up our current series with a reminder to represent where we're from.

Who do YOU think you are? A better question for most of us might be, "What do you want to DO?" Our culture is obsessed with what we do, and it starts when we're kids with the age-old question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" But putting the "DO" first can give us a false sense of who we are. This week, we'll learn a better way.
