When Nehemiah finally revealed the plan to rebuild the wall, he was met with incredible support from the people, even though it required tremendous personal sacrifice.

There are many kings among us. People who possess varying degrees of influence, authority, and wealth. Following the example of Nehemiah, we must pray for the favor of our kings as we prepare to leap.

When things get crowded at the theater on a Sunday morning, we say among ourselves, “It’s a good problem to have.” That may be true, but even “good problems” require solutions.

There’s an old saying, “You don’t need to go to church to be a Christian.” If that’s true, then what’s the point of showing up at a church service on a Sunday morning? What exactly is supposed to happen during the Sunday morning event?

It may seem unfair, and even out of character, but if we are to believe what the New Testament tells us, it seems that Jesus prioritizes a certain group of people above others.

It’s surprisingly easy for a church to become lost. Fortunately, the Church was given clear directions from its founder. The only question is whether or not we will follow those directions.

Trying to separate out what church was originally supposed to be versus what it has become is an incredibly messy process. So, let’s forget about church, and focus on God.

Spending time with God and the catalytic community of the Church are two of the primary ways God brings about growth in the believer. If we want to see our lives changed by God we must strive for consistency in theses areas of our lives.

Another way in which God brings about change in our lives is through the catalytic community found in the body of Christ. God wants us to surround ourselves with people who will push us towards becoming more like Christ.
