Trying to separate out what church was originally supposed to be versus what it has become is an incredibly messy process. So, let’s forget about church, and focus on God.

Spending time with God and the catalytic community of the Church are two of the primary ways God brings about growth in the believer. If we want to see our lives changed by God we must strive for consistency in theses areas of our lives.

Another way in which God brings about change in our lives is through the catalytic community found in the body of Christ. God wants us to surround ourselves with people who will push us towards becoming more like Christ.

One of the primary ways that Jesus acts as a catalyst for growth in our lives is through our daily time spent with him. When so many things in our lives influence us in different directions the daily communion with our creator will keep us on the path of becoming who we were created to be.

A catalyst is someone or something that brings about change. There are many factors in our lives that cause change, but Christ promises to bring about the best change. In this introduction to our Catalyst series we will look at what makes us resistant to change and the joy of what Christ offers us.
