Healthy environments prosper from the strength of the diverse contributions of participants, but unhealthy environments, like the church in Corinth, tear themselves apart by rejecting, rather than respecting, the uniqueness of each individual.

History shows us that churches can suffer from disagreements that grow so large that they fragment congregations. That was the case in the church at Corinth. Paul's instructions to that church called the members to replace their selfishness and pride with respect and consideration for each other to overcome these divisions.

We conclude our Journey of Grace series with Paul's explanation in 2 Corinthians of how generosity builds more generosity. Pastor Chris compared this cycle to a flywheel, started in motion by God's love for us; as 1 John 4:19 explains, "We love because He first loved us." When we receive God's generosity with awe and submission, our response is to pour out God's generosity to others, and as others see God's generosity in us, we all respond in awe and praise of a God whose blessings know no end!
