This battle has been literally brewing between me and Marc for years so today we bring back our Vs format for one more battle.

Now many of you will be thinking this is a cake walk for Halloween 4 and you just like Marc would be wrong.

I bring the fire as we pit these movie head to head across five categories with the help of our wonderful listeners wading in with their opinions.

Although this is a break from our usual revie format you can still expect lots of discussions around movie scenes, facts, a unwanted game (thanks Marc!) and a whole host of comments and thoughts from all spectrums of our social media.

This episode also has moments where we argue but don't worry we won't have an on air fall out, well maybe we wont.

This week we are joined by the incredible Greg Hoey to discuss one of the most talked about horrors of 2024.

Heretic see's Hugh Grant step out of his Rom Com stereotype to become the chilling and terrifying Mr Reed. A man with a hatred for religion and as it would turn out door to door Mormons.

With some twists along the way that i will leave for the episode this movie delivers so much more than we could have ever anticipated.

This episode contains our review, listener interaction, voicemails, and Greg takes on the still unbeaten Broken Spirit quiz.

As always we welcome your thoughts on the film and our episode with reviews and comments

103 years after the original Nosferatu hit our screens Robert Eggers brings us a brand new reimagination of that story.

Including elements not just from the original movie but also paying homage to other great adaptations of the past like the Bella Lugosi 1931 Dracula and Francis Ford Coppola's Bram Stokers Dracula. Robert Eggers has attempted do deliver a generational vampire movie.

The question is how did me and Marc feel about what he brought to screen? Well you need to listen to find out, all i will say is our scores for this film are very different.

This episode not only contains our review but a tonne of movie facts, a game and all of your regular interactions.

As always we welcome your thoughts in comments or via e-mail [email protected]

Our month of deep diving into Arthouse Horror continues this week as we look at a second Robert Eggers movie.

The VVitch is a tale of an exiled family who try making it on their own having moved to an isolated area near the woods.

Temptation of sin is everywhere and it doesn't take long for our family to start falling prey to evil of their own creation. (if this was not your reading of the movie you 100% need to listen to this episode)

In a first watch again for Marc and this movie holding a spot in my all time favourite horror films it goes without saying there will be a lot to discuss.

Not to mention that we have interactive features and A24 themed game and some very interesting and possibly disturbing voicemails.

So click play and join the You Run Podcast family of listeners and unlike many other shows get involved and take over.

Arthouse horror is not something that receives the showcase that it should here on our show. So for the whole month of January we are proud to bring you Arthouse Horror Month!

Kicking off with the 2019 Robert Eggers Movie the lighthouse we take a look at arguably the most artistic film of the last two decades.

Starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Defoe, The Lighthouse tells the story of Ephraim Winslow who starts work as an assistant to the lighthouse keeper Thomas Wake.

The money is good but the conditions are less than desirable and over time we get to witness the full descent into Alcoholism and madness.

This episode contains our review of the movie, behind the scenes production facts and your comments in "Caption This"

We also announce the winner of our long running competition.

We would love to hear your thoughts on the episode so please use the comments section to share your thoughts.

Most importantly we hope you enjoy our first episode of 2025 and our dive into the weird and eerily beautiful world that this movie creates.

This week we bring you our final episode of 2024. We look at a great movie and share our thoughts on not only the film but how it influenced other cinema.

We laugh a lot on this episode and also have some announcements on changes for 2025.

This is not one you want to miss

The most requested episode of the year not only delivers an extended runtime but also some very different views.

We are back to take a look at Damien Leone's latest adventure for Art The Clown. This episode is a deeper dive than usual as we share our thoughts and opinions.

We also bring you some facts, some interactive features and a play along drinking game.

This is basically our works Christmas party and you are all invited to the carnage

We are on another Christmas horror adventure. this time with the beloved movie Krampus.

There is not a lot I can say about this episode apart from it is the perfect accompaniment to any holiday drive

Well it turns out that this is not actually a Christmas movie which only adds to the rage of our fantastic guest.

Heather is on form this week as she educates us and the listeners on what is and isn't a Christmas film while sharing her frustrations about this movie.

Hilariously funny and at times wildly inappropriate this weeks episode is full of facts (some incorrect) games and a whole lot of Christmas fun
