Horror Movie Review, The "You Run" Podcast

This week we are bringing you a listener request of a movie I was convinced I had seen... I have no idea what movie I got this confused with but turned out to be a first watch for both me and Marc.

So Marc has been with the show for 100 episodes and to celebrate we let him select the movie... I'm sorry!

so his choice surprised nobody and upset many people as we are spinning back into another Sharknado movie! For some reason this franchise has been linked with the show almost since its inception and despite my best efforts we just can't shake this bond.

So Buckle up for a wet a wild episode, full review, Marc has a crack at Broken Spirit and facts will fill your ears along with a good dollop of laughter.

This week we are joined by horror YouTube royalty as we take a deep dive into the Final Chapter of the Friday The 13th Franchise (ignoring the 8 films that followed it obviously)

We go into what worked and what didn't discuss how exposed breasts have become synonymous with the franchise and are almost as integral as a machete or the hockey mask.

We pit Barry against the still unbeaten Broken Spirit and also debut a new feature in "TikTok Talks"

This episode is full of laughter, facts and fun so jump into the chaos!

Today we are revisiting an episode of the past to give Marc the change to share his thoughts as we pace back through the 1995 movie Se7en!

It is almost impossible to deny that this movie inspired an entire sub genre of horror with SAW, Hostel and other clearly drawing their inspiration from Fincher's masterpiece.

This episode contains our thoughts on the movie, a listener's call and other listeners reviews. We also have a game that was more strange than initially intended.

If you love Se7en this is a must listen episode!

We are delighted we got this listener request. Stay Alive is a 2006 horror that plays hard on the video game tropes.

A unique movie that honestly hasn't been seen by enough people in our opinions.

With rumours of a sequel now looming this is the perfect time to cover this movie and we had a blast doing it.

If this is your first time listening you can expect, a review, laughter, facts, listeners thoughts and or course our weekly game.

All you need to do is stay alive!

In what has now become a long awaited episode we finally take on Arachnophobia!

In a listener request we take you through this great 90's spider flick and make confront his worst fears an phobias all in a single episode.

This is also the first ever episode where the video is also available not only on YouTube but also on Spotify.

We also have all of your thoughts, loads of facts and a game that is not for anyone who fears our arachnid friends!

This week we are taking you deep into District 9 as we follow Wikus on his mission to evict all of the Prawns.

No real spoiler that this weeks movie is incredible. An Oscar nominated movie with CGI that still looks better than 99% of movies today despite being almost 15 years old.

We have our full review, lots of behind the scenes facts, news on District 10 and an international language game!

As always we also feature your scores, thoughts and a few voicemails for good measure.

So we decided to start the year off with a bang and an independent movie that we know a lot of you missed from last year.

Older Gods is a cosmic horror movie that would be best suited for fans of slow build, tension filled horror movies. With visuals that far exceed expectations and strong performances across the board we felt this movie needed a little You Run Podcast love.

We were also lucky enough to steal some time of the director David A Roberts. In the interview David not only spills the beans on the production but also what inspired him to make movies.

This is an episode not to be missed and if you haven't seen the movie yet the link is below.
