Horror Movie Review, The "You Run" Podcast

So this week we are looking at SAW X or SAW 1.5 which I think is more accurate! The return of Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith have gained huge attention. The question though is if this is a mindless cash grab or a thoughtful reboot that can revive a franchise?

This week also features your thoughts going into the movie and 3 word reviews. We also debut a new game where me and Marc go head to head and battel for the first time ever.

Don't forget you can get in touch through any of our social media channels or by e-mailing us [email protected]

Strap in tight as we are taking a ride with Jim from Jim's Retro Emporium back to the 80's and to a movie that split an entire fanbase.

Freddy's Revenge is a movie that not only delivered arguably the most nasty Freddy of the franchise but also gave us horror's first ever male scream queen.

Expect deep dives on all the ways you can view this movie, the return of the unbeaten Broken Spirit and a host of other interactive features.

Below is the link for the Scream Queen Documentary which we reference heavily on this episode and is a must watch.

This week gets way out of hand as you could imagine with this movie. Marc hits me with a surprise quiz that is problematic when he doesn't know the answers himself..

But beyond this being a calamity we do review the movie, give you facts and lots of interaction from listeners in features, e-mails, calls. You name is it happens this time out!

Yes, I am as surprised as you that this ever reached poll stage but after over a year of teasing our guest this week about her Twilight obsession, we kind of didn't have a choice.

This episode is wild, and I'm leaving it there. Laughter, the return of Evil Audio, 10 word takedown, 3 word reviews all just bundled up into a vampire lite experience

This week Marc selected all the movies that entered our poll and knowing my hatred for Halloween 4 you all thought it would be funny if we looked at the sequel...

Spoilers is something I don't normally put in the episode description but this episode see's me tear this apart as Marc tries to defend arguably the worst movie in the entire franchise.

We also debut a new feature and have loads (and I mean loads) of involvement from our wonderful listeners

This week we are bringing you an overdue listeners request as we delve back into 90's slashers.

Goth Danielle Harris, College lecturer Robert England and a whole host of other 90's stars including Jared Leto lead the ay as we explore urban legends that are killing people on campus.

Hilarious games and fun plus loads of interaction from listeners this episode is a banger

This week we cover a new release as we take a sub ride to The Trench. With a joint love of Sharknado movies and shark movies as a whole you would assume that me and Marc are on the same page this week... You would be wrong.

We disagree about this movie from start to finish, while sharing your thoughts and scores. As an added bonus I slap Marc with our brand new quiz for you all to hear!

We are going all meta this week as we take a dive into effectively the pilot movie for Scream. We have a new game completely unrelated to the episode topic but still a lot of fun.

We of course have your input in scores, 3 word review and the 10 word take down and we even have a voicemail from a very upset listener.

As always lots of laughter will fill the episode and brighten your week. All that being said don't be surprised if there are some hot takes this week!

As Above So Below hits many top 10 found footage lists and it is easy to see why. The first movie in history to gain access to the Paris Catacombs to film takes full advantage of that privilege.

Claustrophobic and dealing with so many religious texts and faith beliefs this movie is almost perfect.

Will you all agree in this weeks 3 word review or will the 10 word takedown reign supreme?

More importantly how good is Marc's French as we try a new game Translate This!

Rob Zombie's Halloween is arguably the most divisive movie in the entire Halloween Franchise. Taking a beloved and iconic movie and giving it a more gritty and dark twist is always going to cause backlash.

That being said me and Marc give it the full You Run treatment dissecting the good and the bad this movie has to offer.

After a few weeks apart we are extra excitable to be back and debut the new music and features.

If you have never listened before this may be the episode that gets you hooked on the You Run Podcast, Games, interactive features and mildly funny hosts make this a must listen every Monday!
