For the 5th and final Halloween wheel spin, we asked you Sickos to give us your favourite Halloween films and put them on a wheel to let the fates decide.

We're digging our heels in and getting it wrong right off the bat, talking about casting changes, character development and how the style has evolved from one film to the next.

We will be talking about the psychology behind why we root for the firefly family and whether it's slightly routed in an ACAB attitude or can we actually extend our empathy to Wydell?

Anthony's fun facts really whip Nellie into a verbal frenzy...

  • Episode #108 - RINGU (1998) // "WELL... ONE WEEK?!"

Well well well, the fates have chosen 1998's J-Horror classic, Ringu. A film that has informed horror cinema ever since it's release.

If you excuse the constant tangents and puns and down right awful name pronunciations, you might find our takes some what interesting and maybe even insightful as we talk about the connection between the well, the TV and mirror, linking as ghost portals to another plane.

It felt almost impossible not to compare this to it's western contemporary. What this film does better and how the American remake took what this offered and in some ways, elevated the scares and in others, chose rather strange alternatives.

Stick around to find out whether we found Ringu...

RESIDENT EVIL!!! (In a main menu voice)

Join us for our SPOILER FREE review of Zach Cregger's video game to film adaptation of Anthony's beloved, Resident Evil.

Early reports have this one pegged as a horror fan's wet dream regardless of the Resident Evil video game fans being concerned about the continutity of the game to films vision in the hands of artistic license taken by the film's modern day autuer.

Can this film only be enjoyed by the die hard RE game fans? Or can it be enjoyed by action horror fans too? In a perfect world, IT COULD BE BOTH!

Is The Craft a product of its time? Or are we still able to take lessons from it in more contemporary time? Or like most things... does it lay somewhere inbetween?
