Movies discussed: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), The Deep House, All the Moons, A Summoning Game (short) We had an interesting time with the movies this week. Surprisingly, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) was the most divisive. Otherwise, we really dug on All the Moons and were impressed by Deep House. Next weeks assignments: They Live in the Grey Roh Cherry Falls Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next week.

Movies discussed: Muppets Haunted Mansion, The House, Nightbooks, Eye Exam (short) This week we had fun with kid flicks Muppet Haunted Mansion and Nightbooks, and marveled at the stop motion mastery of The House (even if the plotting doesn’t quite work). Next weeks assignments: All the Moons The Deep House Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) A Summoning Game (short) Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next week.

Movies discussed: The Last Thing that Mary Saw, My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To, Alison’s Birthday, The Magpie (short) This week we aren’t keen on The Last Thing that Mary Saw, we dig My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To, and split a bit on Alison’s Birthday. *Technical note: Matt recorded with us, but his audio file was lost. So we put together the episode as best we could without him. It wasn’t easy! And you may notice a few bumps in the road. But I think it’s still sommewhat complete and only a little less coherent than usual.* Next weeks assignments: The House Muppets Haunted Mansion Nightbooks Eye Exam (short) Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next week.

Movies discussed: Flesh for Frankenstein, We Need to do Something, Devil’s Doorway, Backpack (short) This week, we groove on the ridiculous Flesh for Frankenstein, appreciate the found footage period piece Devil’s Doorway, and wish we had done something besides watch We Need to Do Something. Next weeks assignments:   The Last Thing Mary Saw My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To Allison’s Birthday The Magpie (short) Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next week.

Movies discussed: Hosts, Coming Home in the Dark, Exam This time we dig on Hosts and Coming Home in the Dark, and find Exam fascinating but flawed. Movies discussed:  The Advent Calendar, Silent Night, Seance on a Wet Afternoon, The Rickety Man (short) This will be our last show of the year. Enjoy our ruminations on The Advent Calendar, Silent Night, and Seance on a Wet Afternoon, as well as our discussion on TikTok TicTac Tactics. Stay safe over the holidays and we’ll chat atcha in 2022! Next episodes assignments: Hosts Coming Home in the Dark Exam Backpack (short) Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you again soon.

Movies discussed: The Strings, Prisoners of the Ghostland, Haunt This week is not great as far as movies go, but the conversation’s good. We agree that Strings is hard to get through and Haunt (and pretty much any ‘extreme haunt’ slasher) doesn’t deliver any goods. At least Charlie liked Prisoners of the Ghostland though? Next weeks assignments: The Advent Calendar Silent Night Seance on a Wet Afternoon The Rickety Man Watch along with us if you like, and we’ll see you next week.

The post Episode 423 – Half Pizza’s Sake appeared first on Horror Show Hot Dog.

Movies discussed: The Columnist, The Medium, Woe, Vincent (short) This week we are reminded that they can’t all be winners. Woe is slow, Columnist is sharp in places and dull in others. But Medium delivers the documentary-style goods, kind of like a more accessible The Wailing. Next weeks assignments: The Strings Prisoners of the Ghostland Haunt Watch along if you like and we’ll see you next week.

Movies discussed: There’s Someone Inside Your House, Hypnotic, Horror Noir, Abracitos (short) This time we hail There’s Someone Inside Your House as the future of slasher movies, celebrate Horror Noire, and find Hypnotic to be dumb but kinda fun. Next weeks assignments: The Columnist The Medium Woe Vincent (short) Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next week.
