It's time for our holiday special and Jaime is TRIUMPHANT because we watched the specter that haunted most Horrorscope episodes, Catherine Hardwicke's 2008 paranormal romance, Twilight. We flip the script and Jaime brings the facts and research this week, while Eric laments the fact this is technically the first vampire movie we've watched on the pod. What's that busting down your chimney?! A NEW EPISODE. It's time to dive into  Michael Dougherty's 2015 festive nightmare, Krampus! This movie gives us everything: ironic Christmas carols, excellent sound design, a very stressed out family, and....deranged gingerbread men? Just lean into it. That's what we did! Eric shares the history of Krampus with glee while Jaime is along for the ride.

We'd say it was time to get festive, but this week it was just time to get SCARED. We watch Bob Clark's 1974 Canadian nightmare, Black Christmas. This film is technically the first slasher, and it's got it all: rowdy college students, a deeply unnerving killer, a discussion of bodily autonomy that is surprisingly nuanced, and a big ol' pile of existential dread for one of your cohosts. Eric digs into the details while Jaime finds out exactly what she's afraid of.
