Step one to being a Hot Girl is to always be self-reflective and hold a mirror up to ourselves in order to do so... even if it’s hard to do sometimes! In part one of this two part episode, Ash and Indi go deep to navigate their identities, both from their perspectives and others around them, and insecurities, that (unsuccessfully) were made to break them.

THE RABBIT HOLE OF PLAYBOY! Have you ever wondered what Ash was on about when she referenced anything Playboy? In this mini-episode, Ash leads you down the rabbit hole of Playboy and the embodiment/founder Hugh Hefner by navigating the the multi-faceted legacy of Hefner and his media empire built on beautiful, bouncing bunnies and the bizarre bastards. 

Whilst being overlooked as a figurehead in fighting for civil rights and abortion laws, what was more known was his critics saying he was sending women back decades by fitting them into the roles of 'bunnies' and 'exploiting' them to make his riches. We feature the bunny tales of Holly Madison and Gloria Steinem and attempt to answer the big question: are we able to respect Playboy, it's history, it's legacy and where it stands now as a 2000s throwback for many of us?

This week, Ash and Indi go PSYCH on you for today’s new episode as they explore the plague of the Madonna Whore Complex! As conceptualised by fuckboy Sigmund Freud, women are often sorted into two categories: good and bad, the loved and desired or pure and the tainted. Why? It’s all about fears of female sexuality, of course! The girls breakdown his theory and talk about its presence in terms like ‘wife material’, movies, pop culture and some famous cases. They open up and discuss how they are pitted against each other with Ash seen as an angel and whilst Indi is a sinner... but they both be freaky though As always, Ash & Indi finish by going deep and reflecting on how the complex has effected them and get real about the reality of dating whilst having such an open and sexual podcast that intimidates their partners.

The Ex Files is back with another turbulent instalment. This episode is all about you, our listeners. You asked to share your stories and we are providing. These ex stories will leave you speechless. From dealings with shady AFL players, stalker bosses who propose on your doorstep to being ghosted after a year of dating, this episode will have you hanging on for more. Through the shock and sadness, this episode also highlights the strength of those who survived these traumatic experiences and the power of EX FILES being a safe space to have those hard but reflecting discussions on how relationships continue to shape us and how we approach love of others, but also love for ourselves

In April of 2018, the Trump administration of the US introduced a bill that would amend communications laws in an attempt to curb sex trafficking perpetrated online. In this mini episode of HGT, Indi breaks down what the f*ck FOSTA/SESTA really is and explores the impact this has had on the landscape of sex work, both in the US and here in Australia. The second installment of the EX FILES is here! In this week’s episode after a much needed conversation about manifestation, meditation and tarot readings with our hot girls. Our resident goth queen, Indi takes you on a very descriptive journey through her dating life. From cute little childhood flings, to complicated long distance relationships. The journey to self love and figuring out your worth both as an individual and in a relationship means understanding your trauma, where you’ve come from, the progress you’ve made and of course coping mechanisms. Having learnt so much from every ex, especially her first true love (boyfriend #3) with a firey and loud Aries man; Indi reflects on the good, the bad, the ugly to help you understand her and maybe even yourself a little bit better.

Say hello to our new series! The EX FILES will be blowing the dust off the old flames of both Ash & Indi, but also YOURS! We start by unveiling Ash’s past loves. Tales include a harsh reminder of the dangers of dating older men when you are a teenager, what happens when you become toxic in a good relationship, how to deal with a confusing situationship and what happened when she slept with an incel. While Ash tears up at some moments, she brings it back to laughing and even reflecting on what all her once flames have taught her.
