A resort entrepreneur in Pulau Redang has done everything possible to ensure his survival and that of his employees, including selling off his boats and rationing electricity supply. Covid-19 outbreak which has affected the country for almost two years had forced him to sell four of his 16 boats to cover his daily expenses as the resort has been now facing zero income. Can hotels go through this disaster?

Accumulating anger and dissatisfaction! “Modern Slavery “, says the doctors !

The movement started early June 2021 in Facebook, as a call to request for the government to respond to their needs. It is a protest against the current flawed contract system that has caused tremendous dissatisfaction amongst the contract medical staff, especially during this over-working pandemic time. The lack of job security, uncertainty in career advancement, unequal pay and benefits, and over-working over the years have caused this strike.
