Hot Mess takes the to theater as the Matts venture out to see this low-key sci-fi sad fest!  This Jon Hamm indie deals with loss, grief, dementia, old age —  the perfect cry cocktail. These cool guys even record reactions in the theater!  Find out if their rainy day date ends in tears or in shrugs!

The Matt’s go back to the early nineties to visit the city in which they reside (or near).  Somehow these local Philly(ish) boys have never seen this Tom Hanks/Denzel classic and they’re making amends.  But is it as sad as people have always said?  And find out if these boys can even still feel after A Monster Calls.

This. Is. The. One.  Like the hosts, you may have missed this British export in theaters this past December and written it off as some C-rate kids movie with Groot as the star, but holy hell is this movie incredible.  Seriously.  Garren and Romans end up as puddles after this one.  They don’t even spoil anything because everyone needs to see it.  Don’t miss this movie or this episode.

The Matts get teary to this tale of a shitheap father and his never-good-enough son.  With sad dad stuff and reunion scenes in store, this one swings for their hearts, but does it hit home?  We SPOIL stuff, but this non-stop talkie can’t really be spoiled.

The Matts go mainstream for this one.  Movies about cancer are guaranteed tear-jerkers, but ol’ Romans doesn’t care for teenager movies.  Find out if he gets got while Garren might just put up record Cry Count numbers and cry on mic.   They SPOIL stuff, but they might be doing you a favor.

Matt Romans and Matt Garren drag their friend and improv teammate, George Mills, into the sadness abyss with them.  They head to George’s to watch this truly devastating documentary that’s packed with twists designed to punch them in the soul.  There’s spoilers, but they really can’t recommend seeing this one — it’s a week-ruiner.  Get their Cry Counts and find out how these three got there weeks ruined.
