Big shout out to Chris Gruarin, Head Baseball Coach, Williamsville East High School, for allowing us to view one of his practice plans from 2021. In 2021, WEHS won their Section Title and their catcher, Joe Mack, was selected 31st Overall in the 2021 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.
Hot Corner Athletics has partnered with WNY Section 6 Baseball Coaches to bring education to the coaching staffs in our area to provide resources so that we can all grow the game in our amazing area!
These calls are sponsored by Dugout Coalition and Hot Corner Futures Foundation.
Dugout Coalition is an online Coaching Development Platform that provides Organizational Structure to Travel Programs, High School Programs, House Leagues, Little League, Babe Ruth and all other programs that have teams. Our goal is to make sure that the organizations are working toward the same goals and that all of the coaches are working toward one common theme: DEVELOPMENT!
Hot Corner Futures Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that's mission is to provide coaches and players of underserved and underprivileged areas the opportunity for growth, development and freedom from the costs associated with playing this game. We want to provide coaches the ability to teach athletes and want our athletes to be able to freely play this game without worrying about equipment and league fees.
This is a great Podcast between 3 minds that work as 1 cohesive unit across Pitching, Hitting and Strength & Conditioning. We bring in Jon de Marte who is a current athlete with the Chicago Cubs and also a current member of Team Israel who will be competing at the Olympics in Tokyo 2021.
We are really excited to bring you the absolute best knowledge that we have regarding pitching, pitching lessons, throwing programs, off-season training and strength & conditioning/mobility training for pitchers. This is a once win a lifetime opportunity to dive into the life of a professional pitcher and what their preparation is like to get through a season and off-season.
Enjoy!
Our 2nd Season of the Hot Corner Athletics Podcast features a Strength & Conditioning Seminar that Sam Cumbo did with the Dugout Coalition Baseball School and the Coaches that had questions on the Strength & Conditioning front. Sam does a great job explaining how to properly warm-up your team, understanding strength, mobility, stability and when kids can start to train with weights.
Hot Corner Athletics brings back another podcast, featuring all of the Co-Founders of the Dugout Coalition. Austin Byler, Mental Performance Coach from Major League University, Jake Banwart and Adam Gouker, Found and Co-Founder of Baseball Academics Midwest, bring their ideals and thoughts on Mindset and how we can use Mindset as a way to improve our game. A lot of athletes believe that they have to work solely on skills to become a better athlete, but knowing how to develop the mindset to perform at your peak potential is really important!
This is what the Dugout Coalition is all about!
