  1. Number 1: Simon Dunmore interviews: Josh Baker

Josh Baker operates at the intersection of sound and strategy - a DJ and entrepreneur quietly redefining what it means to build something that lasts in modern dance culture. This special episode of the House Culture Podcast, the third in Simon Dunmore's takeover of the show, unpacks the thinking behind the work: how scenes are grown from the ground up, why independence matters, and what it really takes to turn vision into infrastructure. Less hype, more intention - with insights shaped by lived experience, not theory. It’s a conversation about ownership, longevity, and operating with pur FOLLOW US Instagram: @houseculturenet Spotify: House Culture - Perfect Playlist YouTube: @houseculturenet || Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/houseculture. 2. Number 2: 018: Paul Linney

Paul Linney is a resident DJ at Pikes Hotel in Ibiza and one of the hardest working DJs in the business. Whilst he might not quite have the name recognition he deserves, Paul has played gigs to clued up clubbers all over the world alongside his corporate work at events like the after-parties of the National Television Awards. Deciding late on in life to pursue a career in music means Paul's story is a fascinating one that has been powered by the love of the beat and an instinctive feel for the dancefloor. We delve into all of this and also discover how house music literally saved his life. 3. Number 3: 017: The Scumfrog

The Scumfrog (aka Jesse Houk) is a man of many talents: a Grammy nominated producer, a remixer to some of the music world's best known names and a DJ that has toured the world many times over. Growing up in Amsterdam, Jesse was already playing records as a DJ when he had his house music epiphany in 1988 and after moving to New York City in 1997 he managed to get one of his own productions into the hands of DJ Magazine's number 1 DJ in the world at that time - Danny Tenaglia. From then on he never looked back and has collaborated with the best of the best, everyone from Bowie to Britney, but is arguably most well known for his legendary sets at Burning Man. We take a deep dive into all of the above and also discuss his extremely exciting plans for the future of clubland. 4. Number 4: 016: Smokin Jo

Smokin Jo is a DJ who has been on the scene since the early days of the UK club scene. Her meteoric rise saw her top the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll back in 1992 and, to this day, she remains the only female to have won that accolade. Building her career by regularly playing to huge crowds at Trade at Turnmills, Jo’s career went to the next level after she became a resident at Space in Ibiza for a decade and remains an ever-present name on the scene appearing frequently at events like Glitterbox. In this chat we talk about all of the above as well as her love for yoga and her training up of a new generation of superstar DJs. 5. Number 5: 015: Scott Gray

Scott Gray is part of the Melon Bomb DJ collective and also, under his pseudonym Chapter, produces tasty artwork that has a distinctly Balearic flavour. Before he was entertaining crowds with his explosive mix of house and disco, Scott worked in recruitment in the UK and decided one morning to give it all up to move to Ibiza with his wife. Arriving on the white isle with a van and a positive attitude, Scott quickly found himself in the right places at the right times and this lead to him not only playing at legendary clubs such as Pacha, but also creating the Melon Bomb concept alongside fellow DJs Ben Santiago, Paul Reynolds and Corbi. In this chat we discover what it's like to give it all up for that move to Ibiza as well as how to carve out a career for yourself on the island.
