YAW APPIAH IS AN AFRICAN RECORD PRODUCER, BASED IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.KNOWN FOR HIS DIVERSE SOUNDS OF AMAPIANO, AFROHOUSE AND AFROBEAT, HIS MUSIC FILLS SPACES WITH INFECTIOUS VIBRATIONS AND ENERGIES.
BEING A NATIVE OF TEMA, GHANA HIS MISSION IS TO EXPOSE UNTAPPED AFRICAN GENRES TO THE WORLD BY CREATING A MUSIC SPACE UNDEFINED BY ANYTHING EXISTING.
YAW’S MUSIC JOURNEY STARTED IN THE EARLY 90’S WHERE HIS EXPERTISE OF MUSIC PRODUCTION EVOLVED WHEN TAKING THE LEAD IN VARIOUS PRODUCTION OF MIXTAPES WITHIN HIS COMMUNITY. THE MUSIC JOURNEY NEVER STOPPED BUT TOOK A PAUSE DURING HIS COLLEGE YEARS WHERE HE TOOK FOCUS ON HIS STUDIES MAJORING IN ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING AND TELECOMMUNICATION.
