In Isaiah 40:1-5, there is a parallel between the 1st and the 2nd coming of the Lord. What is the preparation that needs to happen at the church and in the world, so that Jesus can come back to the world?

• Every valley shall be exalted

• Every mountain and hill brought low

• The crooked places shall be made straight

• And the rough places smooth

3. By not focusing on the weakness, but highlighting the strength

We are living in a changing world, but our God is an unchanging God. As everything around us changes, God expects certain changes in our lives too. Change is essential for couple of reasons.

1. Change is essential for God's plan to come true in our lives

2. Change is essential for God's promises to be fulfilled in our lives

3. Change is essential in us for the next generation to follow God.

According to Isaiah 58 our fasting must result in the following in order to be accepted by God.

1. Your own deliverance from bondage, burden, oppression and ungodly ties

2. Deliverance of others from bondage, burden, oppression and ungodly ties

3. Sharing your food, sharing your home, providing your clothing, helping your own flesh

Is our fasting resulting in the above? If not, God is not pleased with it.

In Mark 2:1-12, a paralytic was carried to Jesus by four men. They made One Last Try to receive healing. Jesus healed the paralytic because of the faith of these four men. As we closely observe this miracle, we realize that

• Faith penetrates through all obstacles

• It looks like an interruption, but it is a time for a miracle

• Deal with the spiritual problem first

• God wants some of our heart conditions to be forgiven so that the sickness can be healed.

1 Kings 17: 17- 24 - As I see these scriptures very close to understand what is going on in the life of this woman, I could understand what is happening to our families in this technology driven and technology controlled era of the 21st century.

1. The son of the woman died - V 17

2. The mother is helpless -V 18

3. Give me your son - V 19, 21

4. Elijah prayed, the dead son raised - V 22,23

5. Children bring parents back to faith - V 24

Mark Ch. 5 presents such a beautiful picture of healing and deliverance. But when it comes to Mark Ch. 6, we see Jesus started facing challenges.

- Jesus was rejected at Nazareth (Mark 6:1-6)

- John the Baptist was beheaded (Mark 6:27-29)

- Jesus not finding time to rest and to pray (Mark 6:30-33)

- Not having enough to feed five thousand (Mark 6:35-38)

- Wind was against the boat and the disciples were perishing (Mark 6:47-48)

Here are the truths concerning the troubles you are going through in your life.

1. Today you are in a situation that is not caused by you

2. You don't have any control over the challenges

3. Remember, you are not the only one fighting this battle

4. Miracles do happen in the middle of the troubles

Mark 8:22–26 - Jesus healed a blind man at Bethsaida.

Here is the summary of this miracle "You had a vision, that vision was lost, Jesus touched you, the vision was partially restored, now you need a second touch from the Master".

1. Are we not able to value our own life and the lives of others?

2. Are we not able to prioritize our lives and our family is in trouble?

3. Are we not able to dream our destiny and prepare ourselves for the eternity?

We need a Second Touch from the Master.

One of the miracles Jesus performed was raising the Son of a Widow in the city of Nain, Luke 7:11-17. Entire sermon was divided into three segments. 1. Loss of the son, 2. Compassion of Jesus, 3. Return of the dead. Some of the truths learned include

- Physical death is a physical separation of human beings from the rest. There is a death called spiritual death, that separates us for God.

- Physical death is a temporary separation, but spiritual death causes eternal separation.

- Physical death cannot be revived, but spiritual death can be revived.
