Andre Nelson grew up at Bethel Church in the kids and student ministries. He is now attending Moody Bible Institute going into his senior year this fall. He is studying student ministry and his desire is to serve in a local church as a Student Pastor. Andre interned with the student ministry this past summer and was our middle school camp speaker. He taught on the life of Peter to the students. It was a joy to have him with us this summer. His story is one of multigenerational influence; sharing his desire to serve the Lord and how so many have poured into him over the years. You will hear a man who has been heavily influenced by the church and we are excited to see where the Lord takes Andre. Praying his story and journey guides you to get after it!
Something that has played a large role in Ellah's story (especially since she got to college) is the idea of talking about the things that matter most in conversations. Trying to figure out how to balance being silly and goofy with friends (enjoying the gift of fellowship) which can lead to complaining, dwelling, and discussing things of this world vs. intentionally talking about the Gospel (things that matter). Then seeking how these things play into having seasoned lips and seasoned actions by seeking truth so you speak, think, and love truth. I pray you will be blessed by this conversation and the Lord will give you a desire to get after it!
Angela’s life was guided and directed by the hand of God and still is today. God places the hard struggles in our lives to prepare us for the things to come. God’s hand and work is evident and so encouraging in Angela’s life. At this point she has had 11 kids who she has adopted, and a total of 60-70 kids fostered over the years in her home. Her desire to obey the Lord has allowed her to set aside her selfishness and follow what God has wanted in her life. Praise God! I pray as you listen, the Lord will stir in your heart a desire to make much of Christ in your home. If the Lord is placing on your heart to explore fostering and adoption, this conversation will be a great place to start learning what that journey could look like. May this conversation bless you and motivate you to get after it today!
Bethel Church has had a great history of doing what we can to care for college students. It has looked different over the years and seasons. We are excited for John and Rachel Antonie who have a passion for college students to help lead this next season. Their heart and desire to do all they can for this phase of life is contagious to hear. I know you will be blessed by hearing their plans and focus for this coming summer and what the Lord may do in this ministry. Please pray for the Lords in this ministry. Nathan has a passion for apologetics and how it's important to our faith! This is a topic that has helped him to be more grounded in his own faith. Especially in today's culture, having a good understanding of what we believe and why we believe is important to our faith. He shares his heart for faith and reason through understanding our walk with the Lord as a follower of Jesus, and having a rational faith in modern culture today. I hope and pray this conversation will produce questions in your heart and a desire in your life to seek answers to the questions you do have. Let's seek the Lord in community and in this word now, so we can understand what the word of God says and how we can live it out. Let's get after it!
Scott Fuller shares about a great ministry that Bethel church is a part of. Ruby’s Pantry takes the resources God has entrusted us with to support our families and communities. There are no questions about income or need. Food is distributed as a bundle with each $25 contribution. We expect to have 300-350 bundles available at each distribution. You will find every generation serving side by side to love our community when you come to Ruby’s Pantry. It is more than giving food to others, it's about earning the right to share the love of Christ with our community. Come check it out. To get connected and to learn more, check out the link below.
In January, a group of our seniors and others from the Bethel College ministry attended the Passion Conference; a gathering of 18 to 24-year-olds from all over to grow in Christ. Jonah shares his experience and what the Lord taught him while he was on this experience with us. We are excited that the Lord has brought our church body many who are on fire for the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray as you listen, you too will be inspired to seek hard after Jesus Christ. Let's get after it!
