National WW I Museum- Located in Kansas City Missouri/opened in 1926 with a dedication by Generals “Blackjack” Pershing and Ferdinand Foch. In 2004 it was dedicated by the US Congress as America’s official WW I museum. 32,000 square foot facility. Hours- Tuesday- Sunday 10 AM – 5 PM. Admissions: Adults $18/ Senior (65+) $14/ Youth (6-18) $10/ Children under 6 ($0) Military (Active or veteran) $14. Website - www.the worldwar.org
National WW II Museum- Located in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was formerly known as the D-day museum. Founded in 2000, Congress in 2003 designated it as the official US WW II museum. This, June 6th2019, will be the 75thAnniversary of D-day at the museum. Open daily from 0900-1500, closed Mardi Gras day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. National Infantry Museum & Soldier Center- 1715 Legacy Way, Columbus Georgia. Admissions free but suggested $5 for donations per person. Hours Tuesday-Saturday 0900-1700/Sunday 1100-1700. Closed Mondays. Website: nationalinfantrymuseum.org.
USS Alabama (BB-60) Battleship Museum- Dakota Class Battleship moored at 2703 Battleship Parkway in Mobile Alabama. Tickets are $15 for adults ages 12-54/$3 for AAA members/Active Duty Dependents (12+) $13/Active Duty Dependents (6-11) $5/ Active Duty (free)/Children up to 5 years old free. USS South Dakota (BB-57)Battleship Museum- Opened from 1 May to 30 September 0930-1730. Admission is free. Location Sioux Falls, SD. Land Locked Museum that has a concrete battleship footprint. Website: usssouthdakota.com
