The coronavirus pandemic is disrupting every facet of our lives. With a recession on the horizon and unemployment through the roof, the survival of entire sectors of the economy are now at risk. Arts organizations and other creative businesses like restaurants and tech startups are facing challenges similar to the 2008 Great Recession.
Boisean John Michael Schert says now is the time to lean on creative folks to get through the crisis. He studies the relationship between arts, business and innovation. As a former professional dancer, Schert taught classes at the University of Chicago's business school that combined artistry and social entrepreneurship. Schert joins Idaho Matters to share his understanding of how to move forward from this historic crisis.
