How Did This Get Booked?!?

Zane & Jake watched a 15 minute movie inside of a compilation of montages made with pirated footage entitled,  STING: Moment of Truth. Not only is this movie full of montages its jam packed full of wrestler cameos. Some of which were completely unnecessary unlike the much needed explanation of Sting’s brother, Jeff. Who may or may not have risen from the dead. This video release is noteworthy because it maybe one of the few christian based movies that doesn’t involve Kirk Cameron. And Lord knows this movie could have used Mike Seaver playing the part of Jim Hellwig

Thankfully Alison Brie didn’t take a ambien and started making racist tweets so we could see season 2 of GLOW. Jake & Zane have a lot to cover on this episode from the wrestling to the emotional journey of all the characters to Jake’s love of dark skinned women. Sam Sylvia maybe Jake & Zane’s spirit animal but find out who is the Debbie and who is the Ruth in these two men’s friendship together.

In this episode of HDTGB comedian, Alex Spears isn’t embarrassed at all to join Zane & Jake to discuss WWE Most Embarrassing Moments. This episode continues along with HDTGB’s investigation into the Coliseum Home Video library on the WWE Network. We say investigation because there are moments in this video that are just as problematic as, Sixteen Candles. Such moments as the usage of a Hard Ys, The W word and dick grabbing that predates Joey Ryan’s dick “Killed the Business”. Luckily, there was no huffing of spray paint on the video but the same cannot be said for Alex, Zane  & Jake. So, good luck listening to this one when everyone on the episode was high AF.

On this episode of HDTGB comedian and fellow podcaster Brian O’ Neil joins Zane & Jake to discuss ACW Wrestling’s Wildest Matches otherwise known as the Freddie Valentine Best of DVD. The building in this video will look very familiar and considering the types of matches ACW had there it’s surprising that pro wrestling was even allowed back in that building. Rattlesnakes, Japanese Suicide Matches and Electrified Fence Matches that were fixed in post. Not even Terry Funk whipping someones ass could save this video release. Thankful Brian can find the beauty and wonder in all of Freddie Valentine’s work.

On this episode of HDTGB comedian Paul Baeza takes a trip to the grocery store with Zane and Jake to see a death match. This show should really be called, Kendo Nagasaki beats the shit out of 2 young boys while 2 other guys have the most adorable fight ever. Not only is this a odd booking for a wrestling match it’s also a odd booking for a Japanese marching band that only knows patriotic American Anthems. Rested assured on this episode of How Did This Get Booked if the salmonella doesn’t get you Kendo Nagasaki will.

Day of the Warrior is a Softcore Porn starring Buff Bagwell. Do we need to put anything else in this description? This movie was made for this podcast. If it wasn’t then we have no clue why this movie was made. Day of the Warrior is a part of the legendary filmography of Andy Sidaris. How Did This Get Made may have covered another Sidaris classic, Hard Ticket to Hawaii but How Did This Get Booked is all over Day of the Warrior. Much liked that paint that Buff Bagwell smeared all over a naked women in his “love scene”.

In this episode of HDTGB comedian Evan Pittfield returns to huddle up with Zane & Jake and score a touchdown with the RAW Bowl. FOOTBALL PUNS!!! DEAL WITH IT!!! This hour long episode of Monday Night RAW almost rekindled Jake & Zane’s childhood love affair with professional wrestling while Evan remains unmoved by pro wrestling. But those Football Puns tho. This episodes does raise a serious question, Does Vince McMahon know the differences between the NCAA & NAACP? One thing is for sure we are lucky to have the Raw Bowl on the network and in our lives in general. As we see in this episode we are also lucky that Triple H didn’t die from Trichinosis. Make sure you take a time out and listen to this week’s episodes of How Did This Get Booked on the RAW Bowl. FOOTBALL PUNS!!!

On this episode of HDTGB Jake & Zane discuss the very recently released HBO Sports documentary, Andre the Giant. But before the conversation on the documentary even starts Zane & Jake have to unpack their experiences at last week’s WrestleCon. Also, Jake has to share a story about how he had to go all Barry Darsow so some of the possible footage in this documentary could even see the light of day. Both men seem to love the Andre the Giant documentary and are very so so about the Mini Doc on Hulk Hogan that is right in the middle of this movie.

On this episode of HDTGB comedian Eik Eikenberry returns to join Zane & Jake as they continue down Coliseum Home Video Memory Lane with WWF Funniest Moments. Little known fact but the title of this home video release has a grammar error in it. Yeah, the title should have a question mark at the end of it. This video should have been called “A Really Long Rhythm & Blues match, Buddy Rose Squash Match, Promo “Gold” with The Bushwhackers & WAY Too Much Gobbledy Gooker. This has to be the worst Coliseum Home Video release EVER. But it is less than an hour long and that is why we watch it for this week’s episode of How Did This Get Booked ?!?

On this episode of HDTGB comedian, Crystalle Ramey returns to discuss another Coliseum Home Video release, Brains Behind the Brawn. We can’t remember what show Crystalle reviewed last time so we don’t know if this is a step up or not but there is definitely more Bobby “The Brain” Heenan involved in this episode. In fact, the title of this video could be The Best of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan  or  “Bobby “The Brain” Heenan Dabbles Around in the Slave Trade. Jake is barely holding it together after being sleep deprived all week but he does come up with a million dollar idea that surely someone will steal. But sometimes you have to Face the Facts. Even though Jake is in a tailspin Zane feels it is good time to test their friendship. Thankfully Crystalle is there to be the Miss Elizabeth to these two Mega Powers.
