Today on Perry and Shawna Mornings it’s all about loving as Jesus loves.  How do we do that? 

First, how to love when you’ve been offended.  Someone came up to Shawna in the gathering area at church and said:  You know what, I don’t like you. And I don’t know why because I don’t even know you but I just don’t like you. I don’t like how you sound. I don’t like how you look. I just don’t like you.  Find out how Shawna handled that one! 

Next, there are two things to know about being one who loves:  First, it’s a command from Jesus—love each other as I have loved you.  And the second:  You can’t do it on your own!  It’s a conversation about our desperate need for the Holy Spirit to empower us to love. 

Then, the only way we can be loving people is by experiencing the amazing, surprising, unconditional love of Jesus.  When we experience that and keep on experiencing that, anything is possible. 

And finally take the 30 Second Love Challenge:  Love people 30 seconds at a time.  You may not feel like you are capable of loving someone annoying or even creepy for an entire day or a week but if we break it down to 30 seconds and add in the power of the Spirit, maybe we can do it.
