Duolingo is the language-learning platform that's currently teaching 91 courses across 30 distinct languages to more than 300 million users all over the world (3:03). On this episode, we're joined by Duolingo's Senior Accounting Manager, Amanda Strader, who explains all that the app has to offer (5:24) as well as the secret to the app's continued success (9:05). Of course, with such exponential growth, comes some big challenges. Strader explains the company faced issues dealing with international currencies and subsidiaries as well as the overall struggle of utilizing spreadsheets to maintain finances (11:16).
