It is a real change to hear a story of this kind told in a warm mature voice. The interpretation of the story is wonderful; just as if you are listening to a woman telling of her own experiences.

The story itself has a true to life feeling unlike any other I have experienced in this genre. There is no high living multi-millionaire Master in this tale but a typical middle class couple leading a real life.

Well Written Teaser

This short story is more of an introduction to characters with a story yet to tell than it is a fully realized, satisfying tale. But it works very well for setting up the scenario with rich description of the environment inhabited by the characters and establishing the circumstances that bring Cal and his new hand together. I would have liked Brandon's back story explaining why he came to be sent to the ranch and what he thought about it. I expect that will likely be revealed in the sequel, which I would like to read to see where the story goes. However, I suspect the sequel may be overpriced for the amount of content.

I can't say too much as this book was free

I can't say too much as the 1st. book was free. However, I certainly am not going to pay $2.99 each for the balance of the story since each book is only minimal pages! The Author should have held off and published as one complete book! I won't be looking into anymore of his books.

Awesome

Great book. Very well written. Cal's loneliness is so palpable, so easily felt. Well done. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

More Sweet Than Sexy But Still Sold

The attraction between both leads was instant and so was the love story but it worked for these two espdcially given the background story that boight them together;which was very sad and beautiful all at the same time. The supporting characters also held my interest and I wonder what the future holds after that shocking ending in regards to poisening of the animals and the person behind the shootout.

I loved this book

A good book. To short, but I loved it. Can't wait to read the next one. To see what brought Brandon to the ranch.

You know the recipe here.. You take a girl with a damaged past looking to get on with her life- add in a hot Dominant man- and what do you get? You bet- a great book. This one just has a different take. Initially she does the chasing- thinking she is just getting a one night stand. But oh no- he wants in on the long haul.

And could you tell hot Dom man no?

"Pineapple" never tasted so sweet!

Adam and Megan are both emotionally scarred....Megan thinks Adam's a player - Adam most certainly is not who Megan thinks he is....Be that as it may - this story - scorching hot love scenes aside - was exactly what it was meant to be - a sweet, hot and steamy whirlwind romance! I loved it:-)

Emotionally Engaging

I really enjoyed this book. Not only was the sex hott, but I was fully engaged with the characters. I surprised myself by tearing up when Megan started crying. I was very emotionally involved with this couple, and it was great! Can't wait to read more.

My Review:

What an amazing book. Sexy while still incredibly emotional. Megan works at the same law firm as man whore Adam and she's decided that he's just the cure she needs to get over her sexual anxiety that she's been battling since she was raped in high school. What she doesn't realize is that his man whore persona is just a ruse to keep women at bay after the sudden death of his wife two years ago.

Now you understand why this book is emotional right??

But it's also extremely sexy because Adam is a Dom and he sees that Megan is a natural submissive, but with her issues that is most definitely a mine-field just waiting to blow up in his face. It's especially touchy because Adam is NOT a one-night stand kind of guy. He honestly likes Megan and he wants more, but she just wants him to help her work through things. She has no idea who he really is when it comes to relationships. The emotion of it all is written so well. As a reader, you can't help but ache for both these people. Adam wants more. Megan is just trying to heal. They are both hurting.

This isn't a long book, but there is SO MUCH packed into it. These characters have a really deep back-story as to how they both got to this place. The actual time frame on the book doesn't cover that much time (about two weeks) but it never seems to be rushed. Adam has been attracted to Megan for a long time.

You've been bad

This is a story about a young woman who is surprised to find out that her boyfriend set her up to be a bad girl. It was very frustrating to read, as it went back to a flashback. I was disappointed that it ended so abruptly. Not one of my favourite books. It really leaves you hanging.

Lily, is spoiled rotten, and totally NOT into arranged marriages so when she gets wind papa p is trying to get her wifed up with a god from the house of justice, she had to bail. Lawyers, judges and even worse...accountants. Definitely not her bag. She doesn't realize Rourk is hot on her trail, trying to claim the one woman who has made his blood boil for 200 years.

She thinks he's nothing but a lowly slave, he thinks she a docile, complacent, soft spoken girl who never saw him as anything but beneath her. and oh, what fun we have when they both realize how wrong they are. Two sexy gods of the sea make waves (pun intended) in this light and fun romp.

Using Greek mythology with a humorous, modern twist as a backdrop helps make this a quick, sensuous read and I was sad to see the story end. Rourk was hotness personified and he can definitely make me wet (wet...like water wet, ya pervs...as he claims me as his bride and takes me back to the sea. what were YOU thinking, you naughty scamp????) Can't wait to read more from the divine Ms. Field!

Hot, quick, paranormal love!

Wow, I really liked this hot novella! Lily is a siren - Poseidon's daughter - who runs away from an arranged marriage, and hides in the human world. What she doesn't realize is that her intended, Rourk, isn't the pathetic old man she imagines. He is fantastic. She imagines that she can have one night of pleasure and finds it in his arms. The intimacy and the heat between these two blew me away. Rourk has to be the sexiest merman I've read! I won't give away the ending, but it made me smile. Great story!

I thoroughly enjoyed every word in this wickedly delicious story. Renee Field's writing is intense, sensual and highly imaginative.
