On this episode our guest is Wes Moore, CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation, author, and United States Army Veteran. Wes was born in Baltimore, but grew up primarily in the South Bronx, moving shortly after the death of his father at age 4. There he straddled two worlds: the private school he attended with wealthy classmates, and his neighborhood, where he watched many of his friends fall into drugs and crime. Wes was first handcuffed at 11. At 13, his mother sent him away to military school, where he thrived, becoming one of the top cadets. He then enlisted in the Army at 17, and went onto Junior College, before attending Johns Hopkins University. There he learned of the "other" Wes Moore, a kid who grew up not far from where he was born in Baltimore, of similar age, and was convicted to a life sentence for armed robbery & murder right about the time Wes became a Rhodes Scholar. He wrote an acclaimed book, "The Other Wes Moore" as a result of his conversations with his namesake. After Oxford, Wes worked in London, but shortly thereafter deployed with the 82nd Airborne in Afghanistan. He continues his record of service today with Robin Hood.

Today's guest is Adam Schefter, NFL Insider for ESPN. Schefter grew up in Long Island, New York, a huge sports fan but unaware you could do things like cover sports for a living. His father and grandfather ran a local chain of stores and Adam was expected to follow in their footsteps. However, after going to the University of Michigan, he discovered the world of sports reporting, joining the school paper on a whim and finding he really enjoyed covering and being around the Michigan teams. He then went on to study Journalism at Medill at Northwestern University, before eventually landing in Denver, where he began fifteen years of covering sports, most of them as a beat reporter covering the Denver Broncos. From there, Schefter made the move to television with NFL Network, and soon after came ESPN and a pivotal role breaking stories both on and off camera.

On this episode, our guest is Field Yates, ESPN NFL reporter and host of the Fantasy Focus Football podcast. Growing up, Field dreamed of becoming the successor to New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. For four summers between high school and college, he worked for the Patriots as a scouting intern, eventually turning the gig into a full-time scouting role with the Kansas City Chiefs after college. However, the twenty-hour days soon took their toll and Field pivoted to the world of covering the NFL. After starting a personal NFL blog and pursuing every possible avenue (with many rejections before even the whiff of a "yes"), Field landed with ESPN, where he continues to rise through the ranks.

Our guest this week is Fabio Viviani, chef and entrepreneur, and owner of one of the best stories yet on "How I Got Here." Growing up in Florence, Italy, Fabio began working at the age of eleven years old, baking from midnight to seven AM in a basement to help support his family. From there, he moved up the chain, eventually managing restaurants by the time he was in his early 20's. By his mid 20's, Fabio was a millionaire, but he gave his unusual fortune away to pay off his father's debt. After moving to America without any savings or any knowledge of the language, Fabio quickly built a new career and life for himself, and now he oversees an ever-expanding group of restaurants. Today's guest is David Axelrod, a longtime political operative best known for his years as Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama and the Chief Strategist for Obama's 2008 and 2012 Presidential campaigns. Axelrod grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Despite being deeply inspired by President John F. Kennedy and subsequently by his brother, Robert, Axelrod first entered the sphere of journalism. After attending the University of Chicago, he worked at the Chicago Tribune for eight years, where he learned about and came to love the city he still lives in today. In 1984 he took a role inside the Senatorial campaign for Paul Simon (D), who won despite great odds. From then on, Axelrod embraced politics, working on dozens of successful Mayoral campaigns, mostly. As his star grew so did the people he worked for. In 1992, he met Barack Obama. Sixteen years later, then Senator Obama asked Axelrod to run his campaign. The rest, literally, is history.

On this week's episode our guest is David Burke, renowned chef and entrepreneur. A New Jersey native, Chef Burke realized he wanted to work in the restaurant industry while working as a dishwasher in his early teens. Chef Burke fell in love with the camaraderie and teamwork of a kitchen, and later learned he had a real knack for cooking. A few years later, he enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America and was head chef at the well-established River Cafe in New York City by the age of 26, a feat nearly unheard of at the time. In the years since, he has developed more than a dozen David Burke signature restaurants all over the country.

On this episode, Harry and Tim talk to Tony Hendra, an English satirist, writer, and actor. Hendra came to the United States in 1964 with dreams of making it in comedy, and appeared several times on the Ed Sullivan Show and Merv Griffin Show. Perhaps most famously, he helped found National Lampoon magazine in 1970. He is also known for his role as the band manager in "This Is Spinal Tap." Hendra is still active nearly 50 years after he burst onto the American comedy scene, and his signature dry wit is on full display in this episode.

On today's episode, our guest is Jerry Jones, President, Owner, and General Manager of the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry talks about his early days growing up in Arkansas, his first ventures (and failures) in business, and the long road he took toward achieving his lifelong dream of owning a professional football team. Throughout, he is thoughtful and reflective, emphasizing the value of daydreaming and the importance of having a well-rounded life.

By the time Janey was 17, she had a record deal with Warner Bros., balancing a major label recording career with the usual stresses of high school life. From her prodigious beginnings to her recent prolific streak, Janey has experienced the ups and downs of a musical life, and now looks back on it all with a wisdom and a sense of humor that powers her to this day.
