Sometimes shame begins in moments that seem small to everyone else.
In this episode, I share a childhood memory about having my hair cut short again and again, even though I cried and begged for something different. The haircut itself may have seemed insignificant, but the message I carried from it was much deeper:
My voice doesn't matter.
Over time, I learned to stay quiet, suppress what I wanted, and believe that other people had the right to decide what was best for me. But healing has helped me understand that having a voice is not selfish, and expressing what we need does not make us difficult.
Through the story of Peter, I began to see that Jesus does not erase our personalities or silence our voices. He restores us, strengthens us, and teaches us how to become who God created us to be.
This episode is for anyone who learned early in life that crying, resisting, or speaking up would not change anything. Your voice matters. Your feelings matter. And the little child inside you is still worthy of being heard.
✨ God is not asking you to disappear. He is inviting you to become whole.
