There are times in life when the unexpected happens and family becomes a priority over work. My sweet Dad was recently diagnosed with brain cancer and after a long, courageous battle, spent a week on hospice and peacefully passed. This was not something I could plan, but as soon as he entered hospice, I knew I needed to spend every waking moment with him until he passed. Work had to wait.
