What you’re about to hear is a recording between me, and my sisters Kari, Jenny, and Skye. We were missing Erin in more ways than one. We had gathered together on Zoom just a few days after Crazy Larry had passed away to help Kari virtually celebrate her birthday with a Virtual Happy Hour (just like we did in those two fun shows we did last September) and yes, there was smoking and drinking going on!

 

And, since this was the first time we had been together since Crazy Larry also known as dad’s passing a few days earlier, I really didn’t set myself up to properly record, which is unfortunate because some funny stories did show up at the end of our almost 3 hour Zoom call… and you’re going to hear them here today… so even though my mic doesn’t sound great, I think you’ll get the idea of what kind of shenanigans happen when the sisters get together on Zoom or in real life!

With everything that’s going on, and there’s definitely a lot going on, myself and my sisters decided that the best thing we can do right now is to keep showing up here with our crazy stories which hopefully are making you laugh! Life may be throwing us some crazy curve balls right now, but that hasn’t stopped us from finding the humor in life…

It’s been quite a week, right? We’ve got quarantines and Covid19 and working from home and it almost feels like we’re waking up in a different world every day.

The day I recorded this intro, Wednesday March 25, 2020, I did wake up to a different world when I woke to the news that the man we call Dad, Crazy Larry or Yosemite Sam had died at home during the night. He had not been well for a long time and this wasn’t exactly unexpected, but it also wasn’t exactly expected either.

Ironically today’s show was going to be a continuation of last week’s episode which was called Yosemite Sam’s Daughters Don’t Take No Guff. Enjoy some more about Crazy Larry, plus a story from Erin's husband Van about his son, Genius Boy #3.

When you come from a big family, you end up with a lot of nieces and nephews, which is really a wonderful thing. Today’s story was recorded with four out of five sisters… we missed you, Erin and features our sister Skye.

 

Skye is the youngest in our family and has a very full life… you may have heard her on the two Virtual Party episodes we aired back in September of 2019. She’s a great story teller and you don’t want to miss this collection of cute, shocking, scary and astounding stories all about her adorable and precocious daughter Taryn… from Taryn being possibly possessed by demons to Taryn telling her new friends at the park that she has a meth lab at home. If you’ve listened to the show, it’s pretty apparent that we love stories, which is why we do the podcast. Personally, that’s why I started the podcast because I love listening to and telling stories.
