Not only did entrepreneur and author of Why the Secrets?, Athalia Monae not realize that writing a fictional short story for a magazine contest years ago would one day lead to her turning the short story into a book. The contestants were given the direction that the short story should be about an African American woman with a struggle. Athalia thought about how a lack of communication was the demise of relationships she was one half of, in different relationships.
Because there wasn’t honest and open communication, it caused years of anger, frustration and confusion. Knowing how she felt regarding her journey in these relationships, she decided to make the theme about showing the negative affects of how a lack of open, honest communication can destroy different types of relationships. Several months after Why the Secrets? published and during a conversation with a woman who had read the book, Athalia also realized that the journey Queen was regarding finding the whereabouts of her father was very similar to the journey Athalia was on in trying to find her birth father. Her hopes for anyone who reads this book is to realize having effective communication, no matter how scary it may seem, is worth having in attempt to save any relationship you care about. I would also like readers to realize that sometimes, things aren’t always what they seem. Gather all the facts before making any type of judgments against anyone, and understand that although you might be keeping a secret to try and protect others, you might be doing more damage than good. Have those uncomfortable conversations.

Vibravision® is a multisensory development technique developed from Merpati Putih; the martial arts, breathwork, and meditation system practiced by the royal family of Central Java for nearly 500 years. Vibravision® techniques, specifically, have been used for decades in Indonesia to help individuals with visual impairments, search and rescue personnel, and Indonesia’s most elite commando paratroopers retrain the brain to perceive the vibrational energy of everything around them. Through Vibravision®, many people with no physical sight can learn to perceive the world through their mind’s eye as clearly as someone with no visual impairments.

Marie Alessi has chosen to dedicate her journey to interrupting the stigma of grief. After losing her husband to a brain aneurysm, she founded the Movement “Loving Life after Loss” and now inspires others in processing their loss, by being a shining example of choosing Love over falling apart.
Marie unexpectedly lost her husband and father to their two boys in June 2018 to a brain aneurysm. Using her own tools and strong intuition, she found and created her way back to Happiness in a way that now ripples massive impact on a soul level around the world.
Marie wrote a book about her experience of moving to Australia, meeting, marrying and losing Rob, and how she coped and found empowerment throughout her journey. She has since founded a Movement with the same title as her book “Loving Life after Loss”. With empathy and understanding, she gently picks up her clients from where they are at - with a whole lot of respect for their very unique journey. There is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to Loss. Yet there is a stigma around grief that she peels back, layer for layer, to not get entangled in other’s expectations and honour your own needs and space.
Marie will offer you a different perspective on life, Love and grief and leave you with choices that are yours to make.
