Annabel Quintero was born and raised in Seattle to Ecuadorian parents. She is a dancer of life, a bgirl (break dancer) and is part of the Seattle Hip Hop community where she co-created one of the first all female Hip Hop events in the 1990's called Invasion of the Bgirls and teaches a dance history class called Mambo 2 Hip Hop.
She holds a certification as a Holistic Health Coach and graduated from the University of Washington in 1997 with her bachelors in Political Science and in 2017 a Master's degree in Education Policy and Organizational leadership.
Her best-selling book, Step Step Jump, is a story of hope dedicated to helping others transform trauma into triumph. Annabel’s life was irrevocably altered on September 11, 2001 when she narrowly escaped from the 46th floor of the One World Trade Center.
As the founder of The Runa Group, she is devoted to helping leaders understand their story and how it can create a safe space for organizational culture to evolve into diverse, inclusive spaces where employees feel like they belong.
Her executive coaching not only trains teams on how to identify when cultural dominance is discreetly perpetuated but also helps leaders align their personal story, with their mission and speak to the positive impact they are making in the world.
Annabel Quintero ran for office in 2018 for our 34th district State Senate seat, is currently the Board President for a Seattle based nonprofit called Goodwin Connections, a lifelong bgirl, a proud mother of two, and uses her wisdom to advocate, teach storytelling and focuses on helping us all focus on contributing to our collective wellness.
