When we think about how the church is led and developed, we often think of a person or team of paid professionals who do the work of ministry. The truth is, many church leaders in the west are bi-vocational at best. Nonetheless, the goal remains to have a "full-time-paid-role" with the church. This often creates a separate class of paid professionals that inhibits the people of God from being equipped for ministry.
