As families continue to stay home in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus, many parents have had to take on a new role: that of educator. In normal circumstances that is a big lift. Add a global pandemic to the ask, and it can be overwhelming.
However, the Idaho Education Association, which is the state’s largest professional employee organization, has continued to be a resource and an advocate for education during this time.
Joining Idaho Matters live today to talk more are IEA president and former sixth grade teacher in the Boise School District Layne McInelly, and IEA and West Ada Education Association member Sherry Belknap, who teaches third grade at Pioneer School of the Arts in the West Ada School District.
As COVID-19 cases spread through the U.S. and Idaho, we’re committed to keeping you updated and informed. You can get updated info on cases, closures and how to stay healthy at any time on our Coronavirus news blog.
