FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification (FOCUS) is a technical project working to establish an open specification for cloud billing data – something that is desperately needed in the industry. But as you’ll hear from Riley and Jason, standardizing cloud cost and usage measures across the multiple Cloud Service Providers, SaaS products, and other billing sources is no easy task.

Though it won’t be easy, the impacts of the FOCUS project will have wide-reaching benefits, it’s essential that ITAM and FinOps teams understand the new specification and stay up-to-date as it progresses.
