Our organs are vital to our wellbeing but we often don't give them a second thought until we have an issue with them or develop a condition or disease. They can have restrictions just like other parts of our bodies, namely joints, muscles, etc.
The mobility of our organs is important for their functioning and when they lack freedom to move, we can develop pain in various parts of our body. There is a treatment available for this called visceral manipulation.
For the Weekend Wellness Hour show, I interviewed Veronika Campbell, PT, MPT, CSCS, NSC, CNMP, to discuss this unique approach to relieving bodily pain through visceral manipulation. Veronika has been a manual physical therapist for over 20 years and has extensive advanced training in the Barral approach to visceral, vascular, and neural manipulation.
We discussed how daily life activities involving inflammation, trauma or accidents can lead to organs being bound up by the fascia tissue that surrounds them. Veronika also describes the wide variety of conditions this type of treatment helps.
Veronika also has certifications as a strength and conditioning specialist, nutrition specialist, and neural manipulation practitioner. She has also been an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University and Franklin Pierce University since 2010 and often teaches about this approach.
Please join us to learn about this approach to alleviating body pain.
