Where can we combat all this “not enough?” God’s Word!

 

God created us unique in our own purposes and plans and we can excel in those without having to compare ourselves to others

 

These are my strengths, I am not going to compare. I'm gonna thank God for them and the areas I’m weak, I can come alongside a friend and she can help me and I can help her and that changes everything. 

 

George Mueller: “I saw more clearly than ever, that the first great and primary business to which I ought to attend every day was, to have my soul happy in the Lord. The first thing to be concerned about was not, how much I might serve the Lord, how I might glorify the Lord; but how I might get my soul into a happy state, and how my inner man may be nourished…I saw that the most important thing I had to do was to give myself to the reading of the Word of God and to meditation on it.”

 

God loves me completely, He is there and I am not alone. Once my heart is happy in Him, all the problems run off my back because I know God has got this.

 

The God of the universe is waiting to commune with me, the presence of God is there waiting for me. 

 

The best thing we can do for our kids is model what it looks like to walk with God and prioritize Him first

 

We have to trust that the unseen things are the most important. 

 

So many times we put priority on things that don’t need to be priorities

 

Five years from now, what is going to matter?

 

When chaos comes, we can discover God in new ways we never have before

 

That’s part of God’s love when we let His love come through us and bless others

 

Rest can look completely different for each of us

 

Look back at the things that brought you joy as child, these are probably things that can bring you rest now

 

Take time to do those things that feed your soul

 

Happy is translated blessed - blessed is actually a verb that means “walking straight”

 

Get our heart happy in the Lord in the middle of it all

 

Psalm 139:23

 

Search our hearts to see what is keeping us from God

 

Me: I need to make you love me, I need to make you love me

God: I already love you!
