In this episode, we rewind and go back to the basics.
We'll answer:
What exactly is meditation? And what exactly is mindfulness?
We delve into the many benefits of a consistent meditation practice and explore our own personal beliefs about ourselves as meditators and mindful people.
Enjoy!
In this meditation, we'll get quiet with ourselves and connect with that inner knowing, that small voice nudging us in the direction of more peace and fulfillment in our daily lives.
Thank you for allowing me to sit with you. Namaste.
May you feel peace.
May you see yourself with eyes of compassion and understanding.
May this episode be a little reminder that your needs matter.
We'll touch on the questions -
Why can it be so hard to connect to our wants and needs?
What's a simple way we can connect to ourselves on a regular basis?
What questions can we ask ourselves as we get quiet?
In this meditation, we begin with a breathing technique (box breathing) to help us feel grounded and centered
We practice "noting" our thoughts and letting them go, which helps to slow down the thoughts fueled by our ego, anxiety, worry, etc. and quiet the mind enough to hear our body and our inner voice.
Thanks for listening!
May you feel peace
May you see yourself with eyes of compassion and understanding
In this episode we talk about what it means to be a mindful listener and what often gets in the way.
We'll discuss, do adults really listen better than children? I tell a story about children's listening skills from my years of teaching elementary students.
How can we improve our listening skills so that we can respond to people with more curiosity and less judgment.
How can we deepen our relationships by listening and responding to each other better?
Thanks for being here :)
Join me for this meditation to let something go, soften our grip on things or people we cannot control, and center ourselves with what is.
Enjoy!
May you feel peace
May you see yourself with eyes of compassion and understanding
In this episode, you'll hear a story from my years of teaching about how I subconsciously tried to control what the parents of my students thought about me.
We'll walk through what we are and are not in control of in our daily lives and how that helps us to be more mindful and build self-awareness.
We'll set ourselves up to let go of the things and situations that we cannot control so that we can feel more present and at peace.
