Have you ever gone into a store, or spoken to somebody that’s tried to sell you something - but there’s just something ‘off’ about them? That’s because you didn’t trust what they were saying about their product, or maybe they did something while talking to you that made you loose trust in them.

Bottom line, in both cases you didn’t ‘like’ them as much as you would a friend or close family member.

With the multiple different things we as artists or producers are focusing on, sometimes we can forget to focus on the things that matter to our mental wellbeing. 

If you’re like me, then that last sentence would make you uncomfortable, in that when someone hints that you need to take some time off or ‘relax’ for your health - you freak out. 

I know that whenever someone tells me to ‘relax’ and have some downtime, I’m thinking in the complete opposite terms that they are. I don’t feel like I have achieved my vision and must keep working so that I CAN, and can feel great because I HAVE.

What they’re trying to communicate to you though, of feeling more energised and mentally more on the case IS something that both yourself and I need to pay attention to. 

As a productive and obsessed person myself, I have a slightly different approach.

The reason that you and I work so hard is to one day have ultimate freedom, to live off of something we love, and to be ‘satisfied’ or happy with the way we live our lives.

Every human has different motives, some have just been trained to love comfort, some have been trained to love competition - regardless, every human wants more out of life. Or maybe they don’t, I don’t know, but the simple fact that YOU are reading THIS tells me a lot about YOU as an artist or producer and how you want a better life.
