In business, being self-employed, with 16 hour days, high amounts of competition, and high pressure - we can sometimes forget the more personal sides of us. I’d first like to say that you should BE your business, as Jay Z famously says

“I ain’t a businessman, I’m a business, man”.

Just because there’s so much dedication required from your business as an artist or producer to do and be the next biggest thing, it shouldn’t mean that you compromise your wellbeing or the way that you present yourself to others. It’s been a hectic past 60 days, and I am definitely not complaining, in fact, I’m bragging - it’s been an obsessive past 60 days. But what I’ve noticed is that because I am so engrained in DSBBeats, and it’s growth, that I can sometimes become a little crazy.

The purpose of the presentation/demonstration part of the sales cycle is to create an emotional urgency for your product. Your beats, your lease packages, the features you offer - and how THOSE very features will solve the rapper’s problems.

A sale can be lost in the DM, on the phone, or in person, when you don’t show the person that your product solves their ‘WHY’. All a rapper knows when they hit your DM is that they want to create some great music, they’re not even thinking about growing their fan base, they’re not even thinking about mixing and mastering at this point - all they want is the music.
