Working with the iconic Disney Cruise Line aboard the Disney Wonder, portrayed Simba in the Golden Mickeys, and Grand Pabbie in Frozen A Musical Spectacular.

Joining the union. How does an actor go about obtaining their union card? Not every actor receives their equity card the same way, and its important to know that when you do get it was right for you in that time and space. There's no shame in one's journey in how they obtain their card. John Peterson dives in with us the many ways actors can obtain their Actors Equity card.

One thing is important to keep in mind. Either way, you’ll have to pay your dues both figurative and literally. Put in your 10,000 hours and continue to show up. The hustle and the grind are unavoidable. John shares; his p.o.v. on how to endure during the non-union process, how going the EMC route (if right for you) can give you time to garner more experience before diving into the competitive poll that is union talent, making the business 'decision' on what's going to make you more marketable (learning about yourself as a performer). 

Union or not have you to put in the work. Being someone people want to work with. Being a person people can rely on and trust to do the work. What your first year to year and a half looks like post-school. Acclimated to the market. How anonymity can be your best friend in the early years of your career.
