Being a dance captain requires leader ship, management skills, and above all humility. It is no easy task and requires a lot of note-taking. Essentially you are a part of the creative team, you help maintain and keep up the integrity and artistic vision of a show when the choreographer and director are no longer present.
Having been a dance captain numerous times throughout his career with production’s including Broadway national tours; The Phantom of the Opera, American in Paris, and Anastasia just to name a few. It's fair to say Christopher has had his fair share of experience’s.
In this weeks episode I sit down with Christopher and we talk about what sort of temperament, problem solving, organization, constructive criticism when needed, attention to detail, and many more qualities is require of a dance captain.
