Our eyes provide us with so many benefits for interacting with the world. The health of them is vital but we often don't think of specific care for our eyes.
To bring this to our attention, I interviewed Dr. Lee Newton, an optometrist who has provided eye health care and vision care in Bay City, Michigan for over 20 years. Dr. Newton's passion includes helping children with eye teaming/tracking deficits, focusing or visual processing challenges, as well as adults with diabetic eye care, cataract, dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration needs.
We begin discussing common eye conditions in children. Dr. Newton works with children to retrain their visual tracking to help with vision focus for improving the ability to read.
We then touch on the common eye conditions seen in adults: diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma and floaters. Dr. Newton gives us suggestions on treatment options as well as how to spot these conditions.
Many people also use progressive or multi-focal lens so we discuss the benefits and drawbacks to these types of eyewear. Lastly, Dr. Newton shares his top tips on eye care to promote your eye health.
Please join us to learn Dr. Newton's tips on how to care for your eyes to protect your vision.
