Lately we have put more thought into what we eat and drink as we strive to boost our immune system and overall health. What we don't often think about is what we put on our skin. It's just as critical because those products are absorbed into our bloodstream and affect our health as well.
For this week's episode of the Weekend Wellness Hour show, certified holistic nutritionist and organic skincare formulator, Colleen Sinclair spoke to us about skin health. Colleen owns Siphon Draw Apothecary in Arizona and handcrafts skincare products that provide relief for all skin types. She uses organic non-toxic ingredients to help clients the root cause of skin issues. She even works with those with eczema and psoriasis to provide natural solutions for their skin.
We discussed Colleen's background in aesthetics and her switch to holistic nutrition. She began making her own soaps out of her kitchen and gave birth to the idea of opening her own shop with organic non-toxic products.
Colleen shares with us how she chooses plants local and native to Arizona that have many health benefits, especially the creosote bush. She harvests the creosote, aloe and other plants to use in her bar soaps, pain relief sticks, lotions and more.
We discuss the importance of the skin in our overall health and how nutrition and water intake affect the appearance and function of our skin. Colleen even share her top tips when it comes to nutrition and the skin.
We finish with some of the success stories of clients who have had relief from their ailments by switching to non-toxic skincare products.
Please join us to learn what to look for in your skincare products and how to have healthier skin.
