Serious Chuckle time

If you're looking for a serious or die hard mystery this may not be for you. However, if you want a fun, fast-paced & quick story to crack you up, then take a chance on Granny. That's not to say that there isn't a mystery going on. Granny works for the stores in town as undercover security. In this first book, we're introduced to the characters in town as Granny goes on her "rounds". Things come up missing from many stores & at one point Granny starts to doubt her sanity. I don't want to say more because it's too much fun to hear it yourself. She's just sassy, funny & sometimes just plain crazy but I want to be Granny when I grow up; umbrella and all.

It's cold outside

Good story keep your attention with interesting characters. Ending disjointed as endings often are, would recommend for a quick read, good book for preteen and early teen age group.

Best Series I have ever read

Hey, this book is awesome, just like the last 13. Mrs. Rushford is the best author I know. I have read her books for the past 4 years. I have read all the books she has about Jennie McGrady except for Number 7, I can't seem to find it anywhere. I have read the books over and over again. This Book was great. I loved reading how Jennie was trying to figure out what was going on and no matter how dangerous and scared you are God has put you here for a reason. I hope this isn't the last book, I hope to read more about Jennie. I wonder if Eric and Jennie's relationship will be in the next books to come because they really seem to like each other. I hope Jennie can choose between the guy she cares about....

ONE OF HER BEST

This book will keep you in the edge of your seat the entire time!First, she and Gram are in a plane crash and Gram is unconcious, so she goes for help in a snow storm. She meets a guy named Eric and he takes her back to where he lives, wich is Desert Colony. She dosen't feel like she can trust andybody there and thinks something strange is going on. As the strange mystery of Desert Colony unfoldes you'll be amazed of what adventures she goes through this time! I was also wondering if somebody could tell me if this is the last book of the series for Patricia?

Stranded, written by Patricia H. Rushford, is an action-packed, fun-filled mystery starring Jennie McGrady, a daring teenage detective. Jennie meets new people, goes new places, and solves the case, catching the crooks red-handed. Patricia H. Rushford is an awesome author. She keeps you at the edge of your seat and this book is no exception! This book was captivating and well-written. Its interest level ranges from ages 11 to 15 because it is easy to read, yet appeals to older teens. I give this book five stars!

We all love the good mystrey every once in a while. Rushford definitly feeds your crazing. She writes with such elegance including all the detials, but the stories never seem too conicendential.

Frothy delicious meringue of a cozy!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would definitely recommend this book to my friends that read cozies. It had everything I like in a good cozy - great protagonist, who-done-it plot and the lack of gore and graphic detail I look for in a cozy. The audio book reader, Caroline Shively, was the best reader of a light hearted cozy I ever heard. She kept the mood right where I want it, fun and interesting.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Daisy McDare and the Deadly Art Affair?

When her blind date didn't go as she had planned. I both felt sorry for Daisy and admired her resilience.

Have you listened to any of Caroline Shivelys other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I have the next audio book in the series (they were given to me as review copies, though I bought the Kindle books a while ago) and I can't wait to listen to it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. I was enjoying it so much I wanted to draw out the fun, but I was also really into the whole story. I plan on listening to it again.

This is a series that is a "keeper" ... one I will revisit again and again. Not many audio books I can say that about.

The Daisy McDare series is a sweet and fun read about Daisy, an interior designer, and her bestie who is a baker. The books are rated G and a pleasant read on a cold day.

I didn't find this narrator's voice to be a good fit with Daisy. Caroline's voice is really deep.

Overdone with Desserts and.....

I expected to read a short mystery when I started this book. And, it was. But....., the ending of every scene, problem, solution and thought was a dessert!!! Donuts, brownies, chocolate, pies and cupcakes abound!!! And were available via bakery, or purse, for every possible emotion and experience. If you are an emotional eater then you will definitely identify with this book.

I'm a sucker for this kind of book!

I'm a retired man married 47 years who lists my occupation on my tax form as "spoiling grandchildren". My grandchildren will tell you I take my occupation seriously. This book, #4 in the Rachel Scott series, is about her daughter who was kidnapped 6 years ago at age two and adopted by another couple. Scott has been searching for her daughter for six years. Along the way she has established a company successfully dedicated to finding lost children. Scott finally finds out her daughter is alive. Getting Mallory, her daughter, back is not easy. This wonderful novel involves intense suspense right up to the end. Narration of the first three novels in the series was by whiny Angela Dawe. This book is narrated by the excellent Emily Sutton-Smith. I recommend this novel. The earlier novels in the series provide some helpful background, but Deceptive Measures stands alone fine.

Make Susan choose!

I am mad at Patricia Rushford. The way she handled the situation of Susan's (Jennie's mom) marriage was very lame. She took the decision away from Susan of who she should marry. The way that Michael's sister handles the situation is also ridiculous. I would have never done what she does! But I don't want to give anything away, so I won't go into detail. Although there are some flaws with this book, it should have been the ending to the series. The ending to the series was worse than this one was. It was obvious to me that this was going to be the end, but Patricia was making too much money to end the series and start a new one.

these are the best books i have ever read

Patricia Rushford does an excellent job writing these. It is encouraging to see a Christian series out there that is so good! I would recomend these to anyone who loves exciting mystery and romance.

My favorite Jennie McGrady

This is probably my absolute favorite book in the Jennie McGrady series. Unlike some of the other books in the series, this one doesn't drag on at any point, and the ending isn't totally the same as the others(i.e. Jennie getting kidnapped by the perpetrator and narrowely escaping). Jennie's parents are recently reunited and off on their honeymoon. She's planning on having a great time with boyfriend Ryan while she's staying with her grandmother, but Ryan is preoccupied with his friend Todd, who is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Jessica Ames. The plot thickens when Jessica's father also dies mysteriously, and new evidence turns up that points to suicide. Was Jessica really murdered? And is the murderer now after Jennie and Ryan? And why is Ryan seen in a resturant with Jessica's best friend, Camilla? Only time will tell how Jessica died, and if Ryan and Jennie's relationship is as stable and Jennie once thought.

One of the best Jennie McGradys

Jennie goes on a vacation to her grandmother's house and when she gets ther she finds out that the mayor's daughter had been killed. This book has multiple suspects and the real killer is suprising. Read this book! Patricia Rushford, PLEASE don't stop writing Jennie McGrady books!

One of her best books!

I couldn't tear myself away from this book at all! The suspense kept me at the edge of my seat, and her flair for writing mysteries was evident throughout the twists in the plot. It kept me guessing to who really killed Jessica, and whether or not Jennie and Ryan would survive. I have to buy this book just so I can reread it whenever I want!

Really glad that this was not the first Ian Rankin book I had read, otherwise I would not have nded up being such a fan!
