~~Working Hard Together Delivers Excellent Results~~

Just in time to get the little ones really interested in Christmas with Santa and his elves getting ready for the big day. The author has written this book for children to age 8 and grades P - 3.

A couple of things I really appreciated are: Some big words that the little ones may not know - 'silently and joyfully' are both in the text. In addition, the drawings are bright and colorful throughout and will hold the attention of the kids. And, there are lots of drawings contained in the book, too.

A nice story in that the children will see how much work Santa, his elves and even the reindeer have to do in order to get ready for the big delivery! The toys have to be finished as well as the stocking-stuffers. I didn't think about the stockings before so I was happy to hear that Santa was also on top of that task. And, all of the toys were wrapped in shiny paper and nicely done.

The day before take-off, Santa was tired but so very happy that he was about to start his voyage around the world. Like any good pilot, he also did a 'pre-flight' inspection before take off! OH, I almost forgot that they all had a wonderful party before departure.

This short book will let the little ones think about how much work Santa has to do in order to deliver presents on Christmas. For me, it shows that hard work by all delivers excellent results.

Most highly recommended.

Why is Santa eating cookies before his ride? Will he want to eat our cookies?

Most illustrations look like Christmas wrapping paper, lots of tiny images on colorful background. They are colorful but not interesting, not bold, not big enough for a child to concentrate on. The story itself was just Okay, why is Santa eating cooking and drinking cider before he lives home to deliver presents? Will he want to leave cookies and milk that kids will leave for him?

Another wonderful story from Arnie Lightning

This story is about Santa and his elves getting ready for Christmas. They make toys, decorate and have a wonderful time preparing for Santa too make his journey delivering toys around the world. All the illustrations are delightful.

I love this author. He writes with passion and has a clear understanding of how to entertain children as well as adults.

Titel: Gitty Gack rettet den Wald

Untertitel: Eine Geschichte zum Mitgackern

Autor:: Adrian Thomé

Erzähler: Adrian Thomé, Karin Bleckert

Format: Unabridged

Spieldauer: 1 hr and 47 mins

Sprache: Deutsch

Veröffentlichungsdatum: 11-24-17

Herausgeber: Adrian Thome Verlag

Kategorien: Kids, Ages 5-7

Members Reviews:

A wonderful book to read aloud to children of all ages!

A sweet book that celebrates diversity and acceptance, with a multilingual twist. Such a fun book to read aloud - the children love it! The illustrations are adorable. I love books about animals that combine charm and anthropomorphism with the natural facts about the animals. This book does that in a seamless way that is in no way pedantic.

A wonderful read! My daughter who is studying to be an elementary teacher used it in a butterfly unit and the kids loved it. This is actually a gift for her mentor teacher because she loved it as well!

We Love Oscar!

Adios, Oscar! is one of my daughter's favorite storybooks - she asks for it everyday. And it's one of the more interactive stories we read, which is fun. Here's a 35-second video of us reading a section where Oscar learns some Spanish. I hope this entices you to add this book to a child's home library. As my husband mentioned, "Peter Elwell writes great stories. I hope he'll be writing some more."

Awesome children's book!

Book was used, but like new! I was happy to find the book at a great price. I love the story!

Very cute story!

I bought this for my grandson, Oscar. It is a very cute story and one his sister's enjoy as well.
