Girl next door Joanie Scott left Charleston to carve out a life as a New York fashion designer, but she can't seem to keep fantasies of her childhood sweetheart, Peter Thompson, from stealing into her everyday life. Whether she's on the phone or sketching new designs for an upcoming fashion show, sensually explicit thoughts arouse more than just her imagination.
As if living in New York City isn't exciting enough, Jake Roberts arrives on the scene, and Joanie's life erupts into a series of opportunities, not only in the field of fashion, but in the field of love. Jake seems like the perfect man: smart, sensitive, dashingly handsome, and rich. A perfect gentleman, he woos her with his manners and works magic with her in the bedroom.
But new prospects bring close encounters, some of which are "too hot to handle", and Joanie discovers that love can be thorny, and innocence is not always bliss.

An Intriguing Love story with an Edge
What seems like a 'typical' romantic love story in the beginning, is turned into an intriguing story of love, passion, fashion and values with unexpected twists and turns that kept me absorbed until I reached "The End". I love this about Madison Lake! It made me laugh and cry and I can't wait to read her next book.
Another absolutely exciting and fun read from this author

One Star
Found it cheesy to the extreme.
Skillful, sexy, exciting
Love that feeling and yet disappointment at waking to a hot, sexy dream. Madison Lake brings me along on this skillful tale. And edgy it is.
