Colorful and Entertaining Characters

I had read the book and then when I was able to listen to the Willow Lake Group, I realized that it would bring them to a new level. I already had pictures of the characters in my head, now I have voices to go with the, The story was filled with love, friendship, obsession, and secrets. When the narrator took on the voices with such skill it was amazing.

Kelly Proudfoot has written a beautiful story about a group of people that meet to read poetry and each person in the group was as different as they could be. When Gavin and Liam come into town, having only met on the train into town, they ended up at the same poetry group. They both met the people in the group at that time and both were attracted to Sondra.

With poetry and drama in each meeting there were humorous situations. There was also heart. So much heart and affection between the members of the group. The book allowed me to touch that affection, but listening to the different personalities being portrayed in the narration, It bloomed.

The members of the group were all ages. It was interesting to see how the older members parented the younger. There was also the beautiful relationship that Sondra and Gavin. Lightening fast and deeper than either of them would have believed. It was really a lovely relationship.

This is a book you should read or even better, listen to. It is such a beautiful well told story.

Dear Jack is a good read! Itâs one of those spy/romance stories that captivates you. I read the whole book in one sitting. I like the way the author describes the characters in detail - makes you feel like you know them! This book is full of romantic gestures, without getting too explicit, which is what I prefer. I will likely hold on to this book for a while and read it again! Well written, full of action and very romantic.

A wonderful(balanced) ride of action and romance

We dove right in to the tales that we weren't ready for. I myself was anticipating shenanigans like what was on the pages. Jack was my kinda guy and I didn't have a tough time believing what happened between him and Amelia weren't legit chemistry. I'm looking forward to more in the Dear Jack series. I recommends.

Good movie book!!!!

This book would make a good movie. Gun fights, love, betrayal, dry humor and second chances. Book is left open if the author wants to continue with Jack and Mel. But she left it at a good place to be a stand alone book. It would be 5 but I wanted more in depth since. Sorry.

Entertaining Love Story

I like short plots and twists in a storyline and this short story provided that. It was a short, entertaining love story with a little drama included. Overall, very entertaining.

Great writing, you can't put it down.

Short, but sweet

This story was actually shorter than I was expecting. Then again, it was just the right length. I enjoyed 5e glimpse into a martial art Iâve only heard mentioned on MMA in passing.

Not even a short story

This short story was given to me for my honest review.

The Art of Love is a sweet story clipping, but not a complete story. In order for the author to have a actual story, she needs to flesh this out and give enough details to make the relationship between the hero and heroine make sense. I dated my husband for only three weeks before he proposed, and I accepted, but a lot of dialogue happened between the first date and the last, so if I were to describe events, one might understand WHY I would say yes. However, in this story, as far as I know, they did not do much together other than train and have dinner once. I need more details on things said and attractions shared to understand how the story ended. This is not a bad idea, and I liked that it was a sweet story set around jujitsu competitions and a rather nasty foe, but there simply is not enough to make this a good story. This read like a high school paper, but not by a high schooler at the top of her class. I think the author CAN write, she just needs to do more of it, with more detail, and more tension, and more romance.

The Art of love is, in my opinion

The Art of love is, in my opinion, a sweet read for young teen. Though the actual story isnât very original, the potential is there to make it engaging for the reader. However, the story as itâs told right now, reads more like a detailed synopsis rather than the finished work. Even if the story is meant to be a short story, a little more detail and a few twists would make a much better read.

Not much to it

I was hoping to find a new author who wrote about strong woman athletes and Angie was strong and sweet. Her antagonist Helga was pretty stereotypical but it is always good to see female characters go for what they want by working for it in a logical manner. The story and development of the romance was was really slow and had little passion-I did not really care who liked who.
