Bondage Curiosity and Fulfillment
Kate is curious about bondage, all the more so after she reads her roommate's diary and realizes she's just rebuffed a hot date because he wanted to handcuff her. Whether or not reading someone's diary is the right thing to do, it's a sexy sort of spying, and builds Kate's anticipation. She is bold enough to seek out restraints for herself, in a tantalizing sex toy store scene, one of the things I liked most about this short story--that this bondage newbie wasn't just waiting for bondage to come to her, but seeking it out. Does she find it? Oh yes, and it's even better than her fantasies, but I think the buildup here is the best part, as Kate fantasizes about what surrendering will feel like. Is Kate perfect? No, but that doesn't make her any less compelling of a character, and if you're into bondage (or curious about it like Kate), you'll want to check out Cuffing Kate.
a delight
Well, this is just excellent. So glad I bought it. Wonderful words, funny moments, three characters intricately winding round each other to reach their goal. Lovely!
Oh, and the sex shop guy is fantastic. He needs to be brought back in a central role!
Short story
I purchased this after reading it recommended in an article. It is a very short story. Just be aware when you are buying it that it takes about 5 minutes to read! I need to be a little more careful when making Kindle purchases!
Cuffing Kate
I just finished reading this story, I have to say it's not one i'd re-read, I didn't seem to connect with it very well, I found the smaller details were explained too much and the main story dragged, we were given a lot of detail on the day to day life of Kate and her room mate but no only did she lack any real character (i'd of gone ape if my flat mate had told a guy I liked about my bedroom antics) I felt like we learnt a lot about the flat mate and little about Kate when it should of been the other way around, i'm use to slow started and over detailed beginning on long stories (2 books or more) but in a short story it lacked any amount of lusty parts and too much informing.

I'd look at purchasing another possibly longer story and still following Alison :)

I have to say this is the first time that I absolutely didn't like any of the characters in the story and found nothing likable about any of them.
