Richard Schneider looks at how individual components of the face and skull achieve their proper size, shape, and functional integration during development and evolution. His goal is to devise novel therapies for regenerating tissues affected by birth defects, disease, and trauma. Schneider is in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCSF.
