Hey fellow loneliness destroyer, text me!
70% of Americans are disengaged at work and 80% of Americans are unsatisfied with their job. Why is this? I have a sneaking suspicion lack of work-life balance is the culprit. In today's episode, inspired by John Mark Comer's Book "Ruthless Elimination of Hurry", we discuss how we have navigated work-life balance, creating margin in our lives, and my bro (who is a pro at this) is HERE to give you some action steps you can take to start creating a work-life balance TODAY.

John Mark Comer's 18 Ways to Force Yourself To Slow Down:
1. Drive the speed limit
2. Stay in slow lane
3. Come to a full stop at stop signs
4. Don't text and drive
5. Show up 10 minutes early for an appointment, without your phone
6. Get in the longest checkout line in the grocery store
7. Turn smartphone into a dumbphone (grayscale it)
8. Get a flip phone or ditch cell phone all together
9. Parent your phone, put it to bed before you and make it sleep in
10. Keep your phone off until after your morning quiet time
11. Set times for email
12. Set a time and a time limit for social media
13. Kill your tv
14. Single task instead of multitask
15. Walk slower
16. Take a regular day alone for silence and solitude
17. Take up journaling - “the unexamined life is not worth living”
18. Experiment with mindfulness and meditation
I also mentioned the book "Indistractable" by Nir Eyal, which can also be found on Amazon.
