In Episode 52, Caroline Garnham talks to Bob Morrison, Managing Director of SecTech, which he founded in 2006. Bob's business provides personal security for wealthy families. His vision is that rich families need to put as much thought into protecting the safety of their homes and families as they do into protecting their wealth.
Bob talks of blending into the lives of his clients as gym buddies, sober companions, and dog walkers, women close protection officers as girlfriends and nannies for female clients and for celebrities' tough guys in full view.
For Bob, it is the perfect career, and he looks forward to it every day. Bob's idea of an excellent day's work is when nothing happens!

In Episode 51, Caroline Garnham talks to Simon O'Donoghue Chief Executive Officer of Spring Investment Management, which Simon launched in 2022. It is the first digital platform in the offshore world. It is based in Jersey, where Simon lives with his family and claims to be the 'future of investment management'.
Simon's digital platform means there is no need for a meeting between the client and investment manager to 'onboard' the client. The three-step process of accessing your risk tolerance, choosing your portfolio, and deciding how much to invest can be done online, which reduces the fees needed to set up and transfer.
Simon's Spring is doing something right because it has not only won numerous awards in the first year of set up, but the judges were highly complimentary of the innovation and concept.
Well done, Simon.
